Delivering a State-of-the-Art Warehouse for Amalgamated Topline in Naas

A High-Performance Warehouse for a Growing Business

Martin Reddin Limited is currently undertaking a major industrial project in the Naas Industrial Estate, Co. Kildare. We are constructing a brand-new 3,000m² warehouse for Amalgamated Topline, designed to the highest fire and building regulations. This facility is set to enhance logistics efficiency and storage capacity, reinforcing Topline's operations in one of the busiest industrial hubs in the Kildare and Dublin region.

The new warehouse will feature an FM1 floor to support high-level racking, electric forklift charging stations, a dock leveller, multiple rapid door shutters, and a suite of modern logistics-oriented mechanical and electrical (M&E) services. These services are fully integrated with the existing onsite facilities, ensuring seamless operations between the new and existing buildings.

Topline was founded in 1972 by a small group of hardware merchants who sought to compete with larger competitors by leveraging the power of collective purchasing. Their ability to provide competitive prices, exceptional service, and quality products has made them a trusted name in the industry. Their oldest member, J. McCreary & Son in Killygordon, Co. Donegal, has been serving customers since 1826, exemplifying the group’s dedication to long-term customer relationships.

Minimising Disruption in a Live Industrial Environment

Naas Industrial Estate operates at full capacity, making it essential to manage construction works without impacting daily business activities. Our team has implemented a strategic approach to multiple road crossings and footpath closures, ensuring that all work is carried out with minimal disruption to traffic circulation within the estate. This meticulous planning and execution allow businesses within the estate to continue operations without interruption.

Sustainable Demolition and Recycling

Before the new warehouse construction began, enabling works required the demolition of two existing warehouses and the removal of the associated concrete yard. As part of our commitment to sustainability, all demolition materials were carefully segregated on-site and transported to recycling facilities, reducing waste and promoting environmentally responsible construction practices.

Phased Yard Redevelopment to Support Topline Operations

In addition to the warehouse, Martin Reddin Limited has been entrusted with the critical task of replacing the fully operational Topline yard. This involves removing the existing concrete yard, reconfiguring service routes, and constructing new circulation roads to support the warehouse.

Given that Topline's external storage needs have significantly increased during construction, we have adopted a phased approach to ensure that their operations remain unhindered. The first phase of the yard has been successfully completed and handed over, while the second phase is currently in progress. This complex project requires continuous coordination with Topline’s management, yard managers, and section supervisors to align construction schedules with operational requirements.

On Track for Completion in April 2025

Despite the complexities of working within a fully functional industrial estate, Martin Reddin Limited is proud to report that the project remains on schedule. With a 30-week construction programme, we are on target to complete the warehouse and yard redevelopment by April 2025.
